Last week, there was an update from Google on how the search results page looks. This time, they have implemented an update for Courses and training. It’s called the Course Info Feature Snippet.
What does it look like? Well, like this at Google:

And this is the carousel in the wild:

It provides the opportunity to stand out more than the one who ranks best on a keyword. The carousel will show detailed course information from a variety of websites.
Nice, but how do we get into the Course Carousel?
Google has extensive documentation stating what you need to do to be included in this carousel. These are all items that you can clarify in the content and the code behind it. For example, you need to be clear about:
- the name
- the organization offering it
- the costs
- the duration of the training
- Whether it’s an online or in-person course or training
In total, there are 7 mandatory items and 30 recommended items. The clearer you communicate on your website to your visitors and search engines about the content of the course or training, the greater the chance that you will be included in this Course Info Carousel.
